四天王は、それぞれが東西南北のひとつを守る神です。一尊ずつでも力を持ちますが、四尊が揃ったとき、この四体ははじめて本来の姿になります。北の毘沙門天、東の持国天、南の増長天、西の広目天。部屋の四方に掛ければ、どの方角を向いても、守護と戒めの視線に囲まれることになります。

私はこの四尊を、一尊ずつ、自分の生き方に重ねながら描いてきました。毘沙門天を描き上げたとき、「四天王をすべて描かなければ」という思いが自然と湧き上がり、その使命感のままに、増長天、持国天、広目天と描き進めました。四尊が揃ったとき、はじめて一つの仕事が終わったと感じました。
厳しさに耐え、着実に伸び、日々を整え、そこから智慧を得ていく。四尊が示すのは、そういう順序です。目標に向かって歩む方が、どの方角を向いても自分を確かめられる——そんな場所を、部屋の中につくっていただけたらと思います。

描き上げた原画を、高品質な顔料インクによるジークレー印刷で仕上げた額装作品です。
ジークレー印刷は、9〜12色の顔料インクを使用し、通常の印刷では表現しにくい色彩の濃淡や、衣の文様、羽毛などの繊細な質感を忠実に再現できる印刷方式です。
高級美術作品や写真作品の複製にも採用されており、鮮やかな色彩と優れた保存性を特徴としています。

The Four Heavenly Kings - Complete Set of Four
A4 Giclee Prints, Framed
Bishamonten, Zochoten, Jikokuten, Komokuten. The four guardian kings, delivered as one set.
Each of the Four Heavenly Kings (Shitenno) holds one quarter of the compass. Singly they carry their own weight, but only when all four are present do they become what they are. Bishamonten in the north, Jikokuten in the east, Zochoten in the south, Komokuten in the west. Hung on the four sides of a room, whichever way you turn, you stand inside their watch.
Bishamonten's severity. Zochoten's growth. Jikokuten's order. Komokuten's wisdom.
I painted them one at a time, laying each deity's meaning over the way I live. When Bishamonten was finished, the thought rose on its own: I have to paint all four. Carried on that, I went on to Zochoten, then Jikokuten, then Komokuten. Only when the four stood together did it feel like one piece of work had ended.
Endure what is hard. Grow steadily. Keep your days in order. Draw wisdom out of all of it. That is the sequence the four of them set out.
For anyone walking toward something: I hope these make a place in your room where you can check yourself, whichever way you happen to be facing.
That said, this work guarantees no power and makes no religious claim. I would be glad if you simply received it as four pieces that make you sit a little straighter when they are near.
◆ About the set price
Bought one at a time, the four come to 79,200 JPY. As a set, they are 72,000 JPY, a saving of 7,200 JPY.
The figures were chosen, not rounded off. In Japanese numerology a number is reduced by adding its digits. A single work at 19,800 reduces to nine (1+9+8=18, 1+8=9). The set price of 72,000 reduces to nine (7+2=9). So does the saving of 7,200. Four guardians, and the number nine running through all of it.

The set is limited to 9 sets.
Each work is individually limited to 27 prints in A4, twenty-seven being three nines. Sets are drawn from those same editions. Only nine complete sets will ever leave the studio.

Drawn entirely by hand on iPad, from first composition to final detail. These are original digital paintings by the artist. They are not AI-generated.
◆ Giclee printing
The original artworks are printed with archival pigment inks using the giclee process: 9 to 12 inks, capable of holding gradations, fabric patterns and feather detail that ordinary printing flattens out. It is the method used for reproducing fine art and photographic work, valued for both color fidelity and longevity.
Printed on either an HP DesignJet Z9+ PS (B0) or an Epson SureColor SC-P9550, selected per piece according to the artwork and the paper used.

Gold dessin frames, chosen to meet the color of the work. The glazing is UV-cut acrylic, blocking approximately 97% of ultraviolet light to slow fading and color shift.
Longevity depends on where the pieces are kept. Light, temperature and humidity all play a part.

One in each corner of a room is the form the set was made for. Where four walls are not available, hanging all four along a single wall still holds: what matters is that the four are together.
